In this episode, our education coordinator Amber Gonzalez and Forensic Nurse Megan Meier talk about supporting survivors of sexual assault and abuse during Covid-19, as well as address a couple common myths about sexual assault.
Mentioned in this episode:
  • Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center 24 hour crisis line:
  • May 4, Wesley Medical Center will be relaxing visitation limits to allow one visitor per patient in all non-critical areas - this excludes patients in isolation and the Covid-19 unit. Should a survivor receive services from the sexual assault response team, they would be able to bring one support person with them.
